Privacy Policy

How the Saathum team collects, uses, and protects your information while we test an early product with a small group of invited users.

Last updated September 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Saathum founding team ("Saathum", "we", "us", or "our") handles personal information in connection with the Saathum websites, apps, and services (collectively, the "Services").

Because we are at the testing stage, please note that Saathum is a pre-release product, that access is invite-only, and that test data may be reset as we build. Do not put information into Saathum that you could not afford to lose or would not want handled by an early-stage service. We still protect what you give us as described below, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

By using the Services you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you give us — such as your name, email address, handle, profile details, payment and payout details, identity-verification data (for KYC where required), and any content you create, upload, or send.
  • Biometric identifiers — before you post publicly we ask you to complete a liveness check, which produces a scan of facial geometry. We collect this only with your prior written consent, we never sell or profit from it, and we destroy it on a published timetable. Full detail, including how long we keep it and how to withdraw consent, is in our Biometric Data Retention & Destruction Schedule.
  • Information we collect automatically — such as device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, and interactions with the Services, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
  • Information from third parties — such as authentication providers, payment processors, and analytics partners that help us run the Services.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • To process payments, payouts, bookings, and transactions.
  • To verify identity, keep the community safe, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To personalize features, including AI-powered features.
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Google APIs and Google user data

If you choose to connect a Google Account, Saathum uses Google OAuth to provide the specific feature you request. Saathum may read your subscribed calendar list so you can choose a calendar, read calendar event details needed to check availability, and create or update calendar events for bookings or other calendar actions you explicitly start. Saathum may also use Google Drive's restricted drive.file access for files that you create with Saathum or select for use in a Saathum feature. We do not use Google data for advertising, sell it, or use it to determine creditworthiness.

Google data is used only to provide the requested Saathum feature, is transmitted over encrypted connections, and is not transferred to another app except as necessary for that feature and its contracted service providers. Saathum's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google Calendar and Drive data is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve a generalized or foundational AI model. When an explicitly requested Saathum AI feature needs Google-derived content, the request is sent only through provider routes configured for zero data retention and no provider data collection, or through Cloudflare Workers AI. Cloudflare states that Workers AI customer content is not used to train its models or improve Cloudflare or third-party services without explicit consent. Optional AI providers that do not meet these controls are not eligible to receive Google-derived content.

You can disconnect Google at any time from Saathum's calendar settings or from your Google Account's third-party connections. When disconnected, Saathum stops making new Google API requests for that connection. You can ask us to delete stored Google-related data and tokens by contacting [email protected]; tokens are encrypted at rest and are deleted when the connection is removed, subject to legally required retention.

4. AI features and your data

Saathum is an AI-centric platform. Some features use machine-learning models to generate, summarize, translate, or recommend content. AI outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete — please review the section on AI in our Terms of Service. Private and end-to-end encrypted content is processed on-device wherever feasible and is not used to train shared models without your consent. Some communication features are server-readable so Ava can provide the service you request; content is handled according to the controls and disclosures shown inside the relevant feature. Where a feature is explicitly described as end-to-end encrypted, processing remains limited to the participating devices except where you choose to share that content with Ava.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers (e.g. hosting, payments, email, analytics) under contract.
  • With other users when you choose to make content or a profile public.
  • To comply with law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You can also manage cookies through your browser and our cookie controls.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Saathum user data is hosted using secure infrastructure selected by Ava Global International, Inc. We describe the locations and providers used for your data in the applicable service notices.

9. International transfers

We operate globally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries where our infrastructure and service providers operate, where data-protection laws may differ. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected].

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Services.
